Sofar Chicago is a company that hosts intimate concerts in small unlikely venues across the city. People interested in discovering new music can go on their website, pick a time and date, and apply for tickets to a show! Now you’re probably thinking, “great, I have tickets, but where the heck is the concert?!?!” Not to worry, my friend! The day before the concert, Sofar sends you the secret address, which can be anything from a house to a rooftop garden to a French cafe, which is exactly where Levels ended up.

When you walk into the venue, a Sofar volunteer hands you a “tweet sheet” that FINALLY tells you what awesome artists you’ll be hearing that night. Levels got to listen to some outstanding on the rise artists and bands that we would never have experienced browsing our Spotify homepage. This type of concert allows listeners to not only meet the artist but brings the focus back to the music and the relationship it creates between the musician and the listener.
